Final Thoughts

Tomorrow morning I will be giving birth to my son Morgan Parker. Words can not describe the emotions that I feel tonight. Joy that tomorrow I will no longer be fat!! But sadness as I realize this could be the last time I ever conceive a child, therefore all the wonder and goodness of being pregnant may end in the morning. I love being pregnant!! It's like having a pass for everyone to be nice to you. People let you skip in line when they see you, they help you pick up things when you drop them, they give up their seat for you and I can't even begin to say how nice the men at Publix are when they take out your groceries...they even open the car door for you! But tomorrow I will become just another person to strangers :(

Taylor is at Grandma and Grandpa's for the night and Mark and I are just spending the evening alone. Tomorrow we become parents of "children". Weird thought!! As I sit here and think back upon these past 9 months I am reminded of the miracle that has occured inside of me. Once you are pregnant, there is no denying the sanctity of life. To feel your child moving inside of you makes you realize how precious their little life is. I have loved every minute of feelilng Morgan move slowly and at times rather violently, feel him have hiccups, feel him stretch, turn over or just lay still while sleeping. To be in a crowded room of people and all of a sudden you feel your child move inside of you and no one else knows...it's like a little secret between just the two of you and it's the best secret ever!! The memories of being uncomfortable or in pain will fade and the precious memories of joy will always be at the front of my mind. I am so thankful God has given me the ability to bare children. It is something I have never and will never take for granted.

Because of this generous gift, Mark and I vow to always love our children unconditional, to help them through out life no matter the circumstance, to make our home a haven of peace and rest and most importantly to always lead them by being Godly examples. We pray that we will demonstrate in our own lives how to be committed to the Lord in all that we do so that one day our children will accept Christ as their personal Lord and Savior in their hearts.

To all who have prayed for us during this pregnancy we thank you from the bottom of our hearts! We look forward to sharing with you all how God has blessed us with Taylor and now with Morgan and how we know God will continue to bless us as we glorify Him in all that we do.

I Sameual 1:27 I have prayed for this child and the Lord has granted me what I have asked of Him.

Easter in Hilliard

On Saturday, we had a family day at Hilliard for the choir and orchestra from our church. There were tons of things to do for the kids and Taylor was completely exhausted by the end of the day...as was me and my big buddah-belly!! Taylor's first Easter egg hunt and she had to wear a jacket...what was up with the weather in Florida for Easter this year? It was so cold I couldn't wait for her to find all the eggs so I could go warm up inside! However, she did find the golden egg and she won a really great prize which her daddy and I kept and gave to her the next morning for Easter :)

Aunt Amy aksed Taylor if she wanted to ride the ponies and she was very exicted!

Then they got to the ponies and Taylor just stared at them like "there's no way I'm getting on that horse!"

The the ultimate test came when Aunt Amy tried to put her on the pony...needless to say Taylor just watched from a distance.

But Taylor tackled her fears on the big blow-up slide! This is where I ended up spending the rest of my day, in front of the slide. There was a really big double slide as well that she went down. She would go head first, backwards, upside down, whatever...but if I would stop and ask her if she wanted to ride the ponies she would abruptly say "no!" How doing flips down a slide is safer than being on a pony that is attached to a walking wheel with trainers is beyond me! But everytime she got to the bottom of the slide she would say "again?" By the end of the day my family were about the only ones left at the park and Taylor, Aunt Amy, Mark, Grandpa, Katherine Carr and AJ Tyre (Uncle Too-Tall and Kat-Kat as Taylor calls them) were doing flips down this slide and acting like a bunch of teenagers while me and my mom just said there laughing at their stupidity!

Beautiful!

This is what happens when your 1 year old gets in to your dark blue eyeshadow. She thought she was so beautiful she was calling "daddy" at the top of her lungs so that he could see how cute she was! Of course by the time he got there with the camera she had already wiped half of it off. I guess this is the beginning down a long road of girls and makeup!

Conspiracy

I think it's official my child has plotted a conspiracy against me! She is determined to not let me get an ounce of sleep this week and to mess up every single room she walks by! The doctors say she can sense the new baby arriving any day and is seeking out my attention....I say it's a conspiracy to drive me insane!! People keep saying "Oh you look so tired you must be ready to have this baby?" I want to say "No, this baby is fine it's my almost 2 year old that is sucking the life out of me!!" Tay knows I love to her pieces but come on give mom a break :)

Pregnant in Jerusalem

On Sunday evening I was in our churches Passion Play. Of course, I was the only pregnant lady on stage and I (actually my belly) really stood out!! Thankfully, my choir director got a stone bench made so that I could sit on it during the play whenever I needed to.

The play was amazing and you could feel the presence of God in that place. Who knows how many lives were touched by the greatest love story of all - the Easter story!! Happy Easter to all...we love you!

Another Baby Shower for Morgan

On Saturday, the 24th, I had a great time with my girlfriends at a shower for Morgan. Long story short, Mark and I went out on our first date all because of a joke about sweater-vests. So, naturally, every outfit I opened at this shower had a sweater-vest!! I know Morgan will be a cutie-pie in them just like his daddy!! We took a photo of my friends who already have little ones and oddly enough we all have girls!! Hannah, Taylors friend, who is a true miracle, was so funny! She does this whole split/strattle thing in order to sit up. So, after she did it Taylor and Delaney decided that they could do it too. Let's just say their version was quite different then Hannah's :) Too bad nobody got a picture of them attempting this!

Morgan's Baby Shower

Saturday morning I was headed to my family baby shower for Morgan...the morning didn't start out so great. On the way to the shower I heard this noise in the back seat of the car and when I turned around Taylor had gotten sick all over the car. She was eating a cheese sandwhich and I guess it didn't settle well. So, I had to pull over on the side of the road and strip her down and then I had to scoop out all of her "mess" out of the car seat. It was horrible! I don't know how I didn't get sick doing it but I guess it's a mom thing. But if anyone is traveling on MLK Drive and gets hungry, there is a nice cheese sandwhich on the side of the road for you! But the rest of the day was great...Morgan got so many nice gifts! It was really weird opening up so many blue things instead of pink things but I'm sure I will get used to that real quick! For some who haven't seen me in a while there's a great picture of me with a dog sitting comfortably on my belly. This just shows you how big my belly has gotten lately!

And here is a picture of where we found Taylor eating out of the dogs bowl! I guess the cake wasn't enough for her. Lucky for Taylor, Fiona (the dog) didn't mind and she even let Taylor catch a ride on her back later :)
