Taylor and Morgan

Desperate Crayon Tip

In a matter of mere seconds Taylor went from coloring in her coloring book to coloring an entire wood table. So, out of desperation I searched my house top to bottom to try to find something to take crayons out of a wood table. Everything I tried was useless, so much for All Purpose cleaners. So, I grabbed the toothpaste thinking what the heck if anything it will look nice and minty clean! The moment I began rubbing it in, the crayon started dissapperaring! It worked like a charm...I couldn't believe it. So, I think I'm going to stock up on some more toothpaste and keep it with my other household cleaners :)

Cold Car

Last night me and Morgan went to dinner with my parents. It was a monsoon outside and we were all scampering to get inside with out drowning. So an hour and a half later we get ready to leave. Daddy can't find his keys. Mom jokes that they are probably still in the car. So, we get outside and yep they were still in the ignition. So, I get in the backseat and I can't believe how cold the car was! Mom starts laughing in the front seat and then her laughs turn to snorts as she realizes the car is still running!! Yes, my dad, the moron, had left the car running with the air at full blast the entire time we were inside eating.

I just can't believe no one stole the car!!

Biggim's

Today the kids had their doctor appointments. Taylor is 2 and Morgan is 12 weeks.
Taylor weighed in at 30.11 lbs and is 3 feet tall. The doctor estimates that her total height will reach at least 5' 9" maybe taller.
Morgan weighed in at 15.4 lbs and is 24 inches long. The doctor said he's already getting his pecks and upper leg muscles and said he is one solid boy!

We don't know how we got such big kids but somehow, somewhere it was deep down in our genes!
Horray for big healthy kids!!

Glimpses of Glory

My dad sent this to me today. It's so powerful and amazing.

As I reflect on this past week I think of 3 people I know that have passed away from here to Glory and also a family member who will probably be leaving us very soon as well. I'm sometimes astonished at our own selfishness as we stand here on this crumbling Earth and grieve over loved ones when in reality, if you are a child of God, you should be jumping up and down excited for your loved one for they are probably kneeling before the Lord Almighty right now. Home, at last.

Sometimes my days can get so complicated and tired and messed up and I think if only a glimpse Lord, if only I could get one glimpse of Glory it might inspire me to go on another day. And you know, He does! I see it in the faces of my sweet children, in the loving hugs of friends, a smile from a co-worker, a thank you from a teenage girl, a breeze on a hot day, a phone call from my parents, a child kneeling at the alter, a grandfather getting baptized and an I love you from my husband. Heaven really can be seen here on Earth. We just sometimes have to wade through the mess all around it, to see it. But thankfully, we've all been promised a day when we truly will see Heaven. A day where we no longer wish for a tomorrow. God said that all who believe in Him will not perish but have everlasting life. His son came down, died and rose again just for me...what a thought! If Christ isn't living in your heart I pray that you seek Him, find Him and one day share a forever with Him in Heaven.

Birthday Bash

Now I know how 2 year olds accumulate so much stuff! And a big thank you to all our wonderful friends who bought Taylor toys that make such annoying noises....one day you will see them again!!

Notice my dad's hand around Delaneys mouth...she kept trying to blow out the candles for Taylor.

Taylor missed her seat and fell in her cake...it was priceless!! Mark made the comment "You know she's my child because she tried to save her food and you know she's Tami's child because she fell out of her chair."

Happy Birthday Taylor!

I can't believe our little girl is 2 today! Time flies when you're having fun and you're totally in love with your child :)

Wake up birthday girl! Yes, she is sleeping in the clothes she wore all day...hey, there are some things not worth fighting about.

Friday they wear their bathing suits to school because they have water play in the morning. Taylor goes nuts on Friday mornings because she loves wearing her bathing suit!

Taylor's new love is Cinderlla. She has had this movie for 3 days now and I think I can quote everyline in my sleep! She and her daddy watched it tonight as I was cooking. I love the shot of them holding hands. I guess for now, daddy is her prince!!

Morgan

Yeah it must have been a fluke!!

Hallelujah

Morgan finally slept through the night last night! I was so happy :)
Let's all pray this wasn't a fluke and he will stick to this schedule. He was such a happy boy this morning too. He just sat and laughed and cooed all morning for me. What an angel!!

Out of the mouth of babes

Taylor was in the tub the other night and she tooted. It scared her to death with the noise and all the bubbles. She started giggling and said "I burped in my hiney"

Taylor was walking down the hall this morning, going in to every room singing at the top of her lungs "Top of the moooor-ning"

For some reason she has the strangest way of counting to 10. Every time she gets to 10 she immediately says 4, 5, 6!!!!

We are in the great stage of potty training. She gets so proud of herself when she goes. She jumps off the toilet and hugs me and says "I did it! I went in the potty!!" Then when she flushes she waves at the toilet and says "Bye bye tissue paper"

Grocery shopping the other day and I turn my back for that one regretable second and I hear a loud crash. Taylor had picked up a jar of tomato sauce from our cart and dropped it. It shattered and sauce went flying! She got so scared she turned around and with the biggest eyes said "Buckle me in mommy!!"

July 4th!!

Happy Birthday America!! Thank you to all the troops defending our freedom. God bless you and your families.

Can you believe this 14 pound hunk-of-love is only 8 weeks old??

Here are some photos of Morgan with different grandparents holding him. He is the most cuddly child!!!!

Taylor

Daddy made Taylor a sticker to wear in the nursery the other night...if you can't read it, it says: My name is Taylor and I am allergic to boys!
Here are a few pics from Delaney's birthday party. What's up with this cake? I can remember when I was a kid I was lucky to get a cake big enough to just feed my family!!

Old Freinds!

When I was in the 3rd grade I moved in to a new house and new neighborhood. Not sure if I was going to have any friends to play with the Lord was already in control. Just 2 doors down from us were 2 girls me and my sisters age, Shea and Mandi Ellison. They came over the first day we moved in....now some 22 years later we are still great, close friends! We got together the other night with our families and all our kids and had a great time!!
