Another Baby Shower for Morgan

On Saturday, the 24th, I had a great time with my girlfriends at a shower for Morgan. Long story short, Mark and I went out on our first date all because of a joke about sweater-vests. So, naturally, every outfit I opened at this shower had a sweater-vest!! I know Morgan will be a cutie-pie in them just like his daddy!! We took a photo of my friends who already have little ones and oddly enough we all have girls!! Hannah, Taylors friend, who is a true miracle, was so funny! She does this whole split/strattle thing in order to sit up. So, after she did it Taylor and Delaney decided that they could do it too. Let's just say their version was quite different then Hannah's :) Too bad nobody got a picture of them attempting this!

Morgan's Baby Shower

Saturday morning I was headed to my family baby shower for Morgan...the morning didn't start out so great. On the way to the shower I heard this noise in the back seat of the car and when I turned around Taylor had gotten sick all over the car. She was eating a cheese sandwhich and I guess it didn't settle well. So, I had to pull over on the side of the road and strip her down and then I had to scoop out all of her "mess" out of the car seat. It was horrible! I don't know how I didn't get sick doing it but I guess it's a mom thing. But if anyone is traveling on MLK Drive and gets hungry, there is a nice cheese sandwhich on the side of the road for you! But the rest of the day was great...Morgan got so many nice gifts! It was really weird opening up so many blue things instead of pink things but I'm sure I will get used to that real quick! For some who haven't seen me in a while there's a great picture of me with a dog sitting comfortably on my belly. This just shows you how big my belly has gotten lately!

And here is a picture of where we found Taylor eating out of the dogs bowl! I guess the cake wasn't enough for her. Lucky for Taylor, Fiona (the dog) didn't mind and she even let Taylor catch a ride on her back later :)

What a day!

In one picture Taylor sums up exactly how I feel today...Just feed me and let me sleep!!

Taylor must have had a rough day at the nursery. We were feeding her dinner around 6:30 when she proclaims very loudly "I'm all done!" So, Mark took her plate away and about 3 minutes later I looked over and this is what I see. Poor thing. But hey we are enjoying it for it's Friday night, Taylor's asleep and the Gators are about to start playing ball. Yes, God is good!

Mema's Birthday Party

Saturday, we got together to celebrate Mema's 79th birthday (it would have also been her and Papa's 61st wedding anniversary). We had a great time together and got a kick out of hearing how "country" Matthew and Elizabeth from Georgia sound :) I actually got Mark to get out from behind the camera and let me take some pictures with him in them. Taylor loves to be silly with her daddy!!

Men and their tools!

This week my husband bought a new shop-vac which he was very excited about. So, last night after dinner he offered to clean up. I thought it was a great idea until I heard this very loud noise. I come out to find Mark with his shop-vac cleaning off the table, the dishes, the floor and Taylor's highchair. I thought "only a man would do this!!" Then he started chasing Taylor around the kitchen with it...I'm not sure if he was tyring to clean her or just scare her to death! But they both were having a great time! Now if only I could get him to pick up his clothes.....

Wednesday, March 7, 2007

I've decided to join the ranks of my friends and begin a spot for all to see what crazy things are going on in the Muhlbauer household. Mark and I have been married now for almost 5 years. We have a beautiful, funny, sweet, cuddly and crazy daughter who is 1 1/2 years old, Taylor Carlyle. And I am 7 1/2 weeks away from delivering our precious son, Morgan Parker. We can not wait for his arrival. We have both prayed for our children since we have been together and to see the answer to our prayers in our childs face (and Morgan's sonogram pictures) is just overwhelming! God is so good to us! My favorite time of the day is those few precious moments I get each morning to spend by myself talking to God, thanking Him for another day that I get to hold my daughter, kiss my husband and enjoy all the riches that life has to offer. So much bad is in the world but yet a life devoted to the Lord is unbelievably wonderful and rewarding!

We hope you enjoy this journey of our family....believe me, it won't be boring :)
